Happy New Year!

We had a quiet New Year's Eve at home... S was with us (that child is breaking my heart and driving me crazy at the same time...it's a weird combination of feelings), and M was super edgy, so getting through the loooong evening was a little dicey.

We made it through though. We didn't stay up 'til midnight... we're on mountain time, so when the "ball drops" in New York it's only 10:00 here. So we stayed up and watched the ball drop, then wished each other happy new year... toasting with apple juice... and went to bed.

It's amazing how quickly everyone went to bed... I think we were all tired.

(I have a new camera I'm trying to learn how to use... hopefully the pictures will get better as I get it figured out!)

2009 was a tough year, one I'm very happy to see behind us... I'm hoping for better things out of the new year.
